Step 8 – inbound files

If you wish to set up Tonsho for inbound file processing continue with the steps below; if not, you're finished!

  • Turn on Process my mailbox.
  • Select the Protocol for your mailbox. Enter your existing Server address, Server port, Username and Password. If your server supports secure connections (called "SSL" or "TLS"), check the box. All these settings can be found from your current Outlook account or from your email service provider.
  • Click Save and wait for the Fetch Now button to become active.
  • To test these settings, click the Fetch Now button and wait for "Success" to be shown next to it (if anything else is displayed, make sure you have entered the settings correctly).
  • If you are using IMAP, then you can select which folders to process; the INBOX folder will be processed by default.
  • If you are using POP, you must stop fetching your email from your current provider (i.e. by disabling your existing account in your email program; if you use IMAP or webmail you don't need to do this).
  • You can also add further external mail accounts if you want Tonsho to process them too.

Edit your settings here when you are logged-in.

Important: For the inbound attachment service to function properly with a POP account, you must not use any other accounts to receive mail from your original mail server.
