Microsoft Outlook 2007 Setup (Enterprise accounts)

These instructions will help you to configure Microsoft Outlook 2007 if you have an Enterprise Account.


Step 1

  • Open Microsoft Outlook, then select Tools → Account Settings

Step 2

  • If not selected already, select the E-mail tab.
  • Then click the New button.

Step 3

  • This screen does not appear if there are other accounts already set up. In this case, continue to Step 4.
  • Select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP
  • Then click the Next button.

Step 4

  • Enter your Name, E-mail Address (b@example.com) and Password.
  • Make sure Manually configure server settings or additional server types is not checked.
  • Then click the Next button.

  • You should see the following screen.
  • Check Manually configure server settings and click the Next button.

  • Click the More Settings button.

Step 7

  • Select the Advanced tab.
  • Move the Server Timeouts slider all the way to the right (Long: 10 minutes)
  • Click the OK button.
  • Then click the Next button.

  • You're done!
  • Click the Finish button.
