Microsoft Outlook Setup (Other accounts)

These instructions will help you to configure Microsoft Outlook if you a have Tonsho account that is not an Enterprise Account and your email address does not end with @tonsho.com.


Step 1

  • Open Microsoft Outlook, then select Tools --> Account Settings

Step 2

  • If not selected already, select the E-mail tab.
  • Then click the New button.

Step 3

  • Select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP
  • Then click the Next button.

Step 4

  • Make sure Manually configure server settings or additional server types is checked.
  • Then click the Next button.

Step 5

  • Enter your Name as you would like it to appear to your recipients.
  • Enter your E-mail Address (bob@example.com).
  • Enter your Incoming mail server as mail.tonsho.com.
  • Enter your Outgoing mail server as mail.tonsho.com.
  • Enter your User Name as 1.
  • Enter your Password.
  • Ensure that Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) is not checked.
  • Then click the More Settings button.

Step 6

  • Select the Outgoing Server tab.
  • Check the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication checkbox.
  • Select the Use same settings as my incoming mail server radio button.

Step 7

  • Select the Advanced tab.
  • Enter the Incoming server (POP3) as 110.
  • Enter the Outgoing server (SMTP) as 26.
  • Move the Server Timeouts slider all the way to the right (Long: 10 minutes)
  • Click the OK button.

  • Click the Next button.

Step 9

  • Click the Finish button.
  • You have now set up your Tonsho account for sending email.
  • If you wish to set up Tonsho for inbound file stripping or spam filtering continue with the steps below, else you're finished!
