Tonsho is an email service which specializes in allowing you to easily send large
email attachments – one large file or many. It also comes with a host of additional
email handling benefits, such as tracking of file downloads and large file receiving. These
additional services are optional.
Large file sending
Normally a large email attachment, usually over 5 Mb, will bounce back marked undelivered.
So if you're trying to send a set of photos, a large report with graphics or extensive reference
sections as an attachment they just won't be delivered. Tonsho allows you to send files of up to
5 Gb using our web service or 100 Mb directly from your usual email program (e.g. Microsoft
Outlook, Mac Mail or Thunderbird).

The images below show how the service works if you use your usual email program.
Step 1: Bob attaches files to email
Step 2: Alice receives email and clicks on link
Step 3: Alice is taken to the download page
Inbound Email Handling
Receiving email is often not as simple as it seems. When people try to send you large files,
your email server bounces them back. So frustrating!
Tonsho solves these problems with its inbound email handling features.
Inbound file stripping and Dropboxes
Keep your existing email address and choose to get Tonsho to handle your incoming email. It
will remove any large attachments from your emails and provide you with a link to download the
attachments. This stops your inbox from getting clogged with large file attachments, or worse,
the email being bounced back because your usual email server can't handle it.
For premium account holders, dropboxes are available for receiving large files. Rather than
regular large file senders having to email you, they can upload and drop the file into your dropbox
instead. This means that they don't have to sign up for an account. You can then choose when to
download the files, so your inbox does not get clogged.
